Dear Rebecca,
It is very early in the morning here on Saturday morning July 8th 2006. I woke up at about three and laid in the bed til nearly four thirty and I never could get back to sleep. I finally came and laid down on the couch but when I started to drift I got worried I wouldn't wake up in time to make it to work today at seven o'clock. I am thinking of taking you with me for a little while today so that Daddy can get a little more sleep and maybe mow the yard. We'll see.
Before I forget I want to tell you about a little conversation you and I had together one late night last week when you woke up and laid on the couch with me. You saw a kitty cat on your sippy cup and you said "Momma, Kitty Cat!" to which I responded "Oh Yeah? If you had a kitty what would you name it.?" You then informed me you would name it Kitty. I asked you if you wanted a cat and you shook your head yes. I asked if you really wanted a cat and you said "No." I said how about a doggy, if you had a doggy what would you name it? You then informed me that you would name your doggy "Doggy". I asked if you really wanted a doggy and you said "Yes Mama!" That little conversation was so sweet. I think in all my days I will never forget just lying there with you talking deep into the night about what you'd name a cat or dog if you had one.
Thursday I was in the bedroom putting my earrings in after you woke up from your napand you asked me "Whassat?" amd I told you they were Mommy's earrings. You said "Becca Earrings!" So I got down my little box of earrings and we searched all through them for some clip ons. I couldn't find any although I am sure I have some somewhere so we hung two hoops over top your ears. You looked a bit silly but you thought you were the cats meow. When we got done putting on our make up I took the earrings off of you and put them away because they had little beads on them and I was worried you might get them off somehow. You fussed and hollered and said "Becca Earrings!" I asked you if you really wanted some earrings and you told me that you did. Or rather you said "Becca earrings!" once again. So I told you we'd take you to the store and get earrings put in. You hopped down off my bed and excitedly ran to get your shoes. You weren't even dressed yet. I fought to get you dressed while you were running to and from the door wanting to go to the "stoe".
I had to go to Wal-Mart anyway and return some bras that I had bought for Sister Agnes. You really like Sister Agnes and I am so glad because she thinks you are the sweetest thing that ever walked the earth. So do I. Anyway I decided we'd get your ears pierced at Wal-Mart so I called on the phone to see what steps I had to go through to get that done. They told me I had to come and get a paper and get it notarized at the bank and when we got there that was the first thing I did. When I got that done the elderly woman who was doing the piercing didn't want to pierce your ears because she said you 'wouldn't hold still'. Of course you wouldn't, you are a kid. Kids don't hold still. Who do they think will be getting their ears pierced at Wal-Mart? Not eighty year old women. It will be children. Anyway, Daddy suggested to take you to the Piercing Pagoda in the mall and get it done, he said they'd probably do a better job anyway when we tallked to him on the phone. I agreed and I wanted to buy him the bath sponge he'd been wanting at Bath and Body works as it was our annivesary and I wanted to get him a present.
We went to the mall and the lady at the piercing place was taken aback when I told her what had conspired at Wal-Mart. She got you right up in the chair and pierced on ear and then the other. You cried two tears because you wanted to keep sitting in that tall chair and staring at all the pretty earrings. She gave you a sucker and you told her Thank You like the polite little girl you are and then we took off to Bath and Body works where you picked out a pink duck and we got Daddy his sponge. Then it was time to go and see your Daddy and pick him up from work. We all went to Texas Roadhouse and had a real nice time eating there. We came home and played with you for a while, gave you a shower and put you to bed. You've been getting scared at night and I went and bought you a night light yesterday and it seems to be taking care of the problem so far. You went to bed very easily last night and have slept pretty sound all through as far as I know.
On a different note I took you to get your hair trimmed at Cost Cutters in Wal-Mart and that was a mistake, She didn't do the bangs right and I had to get them trimmed to short for my taste but they still look pretty good to me. They will grow out before long and you will be more comfortable this summer without your hair hanging down in your face all the time and withought having to pull it up on your head morning noon and night. I took you to Cookie Cutters and they fixed you right up.
Well I reckon that's about all I have to say. I better think about getting dressed and getting you up if I am taking tou with me. I still haven't made up my mind yet. We'll see what kind of time frame I am running on and if you are alert enough to come with when I am ready to go to work. I had a ball with you the day we went out to get your Ears pierced and that can be considered my special gift to you for your second birthday. You are such a big girl now but you will always be my little baby. I love you, baby bird.

Dear Rebecca,
Happy second birthday, Becca Boo Little. This is my first post of what I call volume four of the hard copy of this blog. I'm sorry I didn't close out the last volume with a summation of the past year. I wanted to but I got so busy editing your birthday party videos that time just slipped right by me. I am also way behind on printing out pictures for the hard copy of the blog but that is because our photo printer doesn't print photos anymore. It will print out text perfectly but the photos look like crap.
I think you had a great birthday weekend. As your Mother mentioned in her last post, we had your party yesterday because your Mom was supposed to work today. I think you had a ball. Everyone who really mattered in your life was there; Mama & Daddy, Mamaw & Papaw, Uncle Rodney & Aunt Lynn, Jon & Jacob, Allison, Granny, Papaw Lawrence or as you called him once yesterday "Other Papoo", Aunt Mary, Aunt Linda, Aunt Louise & a friend of hers and of course the birthday girl herself. It started out with you getting fascinated with your new basketball goal and then you moved on to your new playhouse. You opened tons of presents and then we all ate. You got in your little pool with Jacob & Jon. You had a big time in the pool with the big boys. I think that maybe Jacob is a bit more patient with you than poor old Jon is. Then we hooked up a sprinkler ring toy you got for your birthday in the back yard. We couldn't have done that if Papoo hadn't helped me put in a new water faucet in the back yard. The old one never worked and that was a big pain in the keister. We had to drag the water hose from the front of the house through the living room and the kitchen out to the deck so we could fill your pool up. That was getting rather old. Anyway, Jon, Jacob and yourself had a grand old time running through the sprinkler. Eventually things wound down and everyone left. We decided to put you down without a bath or shower because it was extremely late for you; probably around 10:30.
The next morning your Mom woke me up around eleven o'clock to inform me that she was ill and had called in sick at work. She asked if I could let her sleep and get up with you. I was glad to get up with you and allow your Mom to sleep in because it was obvious that she didn't feel very well at all. We watched an episode of Bob the Builder which you really seem to like and we started on your new copy of Cinderella. You seemed to enjoy it but by this time you were tired so I put you down for a nap. When you woke up I opened a can of play-doh that you had gotten for your birthday at the party last night and we played with that stuff forever. Your Mom woke up as the two of us sat on the kitchen floor making pancakes out of hot pink play-doh. You rushed to show your Mom what we were up to when you heard her coming down the hall.
I had planned on taking you to the pool while your Mom was at work and since she wasn't feeling very well I thought I would kind of let her relax a bit today so we decided to go ahead with our trip. After lunch your Mom got you ready for a trip to the pool at Falling Springs while I got myself ready and away you and I went. We drove through the Colony and into the Village when I realized that I had completely forgotten to bring towels so we had to go back to the house. Once we had our towels we were on our way again. I noticed as I drove by our old house on Powhatan Trail that it was for sale again. I wonder what the asking price is. The house is three times better than that old house and the neighborhood is five times better that the old neighborhood but I am curious about what they are asking and I will be especially curious to know what it brings when it finally sells. Finally we make it to the pool.
You see the pool and become very excited about it. We have to wait in line at the reception desk while the receptionist deals with a bunch of children checking in or rather trying to check in. It seems that there were six girls all aged fifteen except one that was maybe five or six and the receptionist told them that there had to be someone at least sixteen years old with them for the youngest one to be allowed entry. They have some stupid crazy rules out there and some individuals out there are way too strict in the enforcement of these stupid rules. You didn't like waiting at all. You kept informing me that you wanted to swim. Eventually we made it out to the pool. You had a big time. You went under a whole bunch but I think maybe the chlorine in the pool was too strong because eventually you started rubbing your eyes a lot and telling me that you didn't want to go under the water anymore. There was one funny thing that happened today. We were wading in the shallow part and you saw a lady sitting on the edge of the water sunning herself. She had a very tiny bikini top on and you walked up to her, pointed, looked back at me and said "Daddy boobies!" and I thought I would have liked to slide under the water but since the water was only six inches deep I just turned three shades redder than what I already was, which was quite impressive since I had a nice burn by this time.
I also ran into an old friend from high school while we were out there, Daniel Padgett. I was best friends with his brother, Matthew Padgett in school. Daniel had a little sixteen month old girl with him named Samantha Padgett. If Daniel still lives here in Woodford County you will be going to school with her in the future. What shocked me was the fact that some young girls went on about how pretty Samantha was and didn't say a thing about you. I was taken aback by that. That had never happened before. Your Mom says that the older you get the less people will be commenting on how cute and pretty you are. I still don't know how to take that. I am used to all the praise you have gotten in the past two years. I reckon all of this is just the rambling of a crazy daddy.
We left the pool after about two and a half hours. When we got home you got in your own little pool but the water in your pool was down right hot so you decided to play in your new playhouse. I decided to set the toy sprinkler up for you and you ran through it a bit but quickly lost interest. That's when I had an epiphany regarding your sprinkler ring toy, a lawn chair and a neat way to beat the heat. I sat the lawn chair in the middle of the ring and sat myself in that lawn chair and lounged under the beating sun in complete and total comfort. I had the most wonderful time watching you dig in the dirt under the pine tree all the while adding to my already considerable burn.
Mom eventually called us in for supper, left over burgers from yesterdays cookout, mac & cheese, cucumbers and ice cream. At supper your Mom told me that she had spoken with a doctor via the telephone and he told her that she was probably suffering from the effects of a mild heat stroke. Mom gave you your shower after supper because I think she missed spending more time with you on your birthday. We all sat in the floor of your room and had a grand old time playing and talking. You then watched an episode of Little Bear and part of an episode of Bob the Builder and then we played with you for awhile longer and then we put you down. You did not want to go to sleep at all. You hollered for us for what seemed like forever but eventually you got to sleep.
This is the longest post I have done in awhile. I'm pretty proud of myself. Your Mother read over it a few minutes ago and ended up correcting about ten grammar and spelling errors so I don't know if I should be proud or not. I'm just kidding. I'm closing out the very first post of volume four now. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
Happy Birthday! I can't believe your Dad didn't post a blog last night. There were big goings on yesterday as yesterday as yesterday was your birthday party even though today is your birthday. You had a backyard Bar-B-Q party with burgers, hot dogs, chips, baked beans, potato salad, a big old fruit salad, iced tea, and tons of other stuff. You really had a good time. You got a great big playhouse for your birthday, from Mommy & Daddy, a basketball goal, also from us, a sprinkler, Dora purse, Cinderella movie as well which were all also from us. You got some pretty clothes from Aunt Lynn & Unlce Rodney and the kids and also some Color Wonder color paper which you will love I just know because you love to draw and color. As a matter of fact when we very first opened it you wanted to open it all the way up and draw a bit. You di, too for a moment and then we were putting off the festivities so we decided to go ahead and start back up. Aunt Louise got you two outfits and her friend Betty gave you two dollars which made you pretty happy. Allison got you some ABC flash cards and Auntie Mary got you a tricycle, a roll to ride scooter, and a ton of other stuff that just made you smile so big and happily. I just had to pause this post for over nearly an hour to tend to you so I will pick back up later and tell you the rest of the story... as Paul Harvey says. Daddy is asleep and its just me & you. We've had our birthday breakfast. Tell you all about it later. Right now you are requesting a shower... and the pool.

Dear Rebecca,
As your Mom has already mentioned you didn't do so well with the movie yesterday. It was all Mamma & Daddy's fault. We tried the theater thing way too early. Your attention span isn't all that long yet. You were quite impressed with what you called the "Big T.V." though. You also seemed to enjoy the Curious George preview but after the preview was over you hopped down from your seat and informed us that you were done. Your Mom had a really rough time trying to wrangle you at the movie theater. She nearly bit my head off a few times later that day but I understood her frustration; it didn't make it any easier but I did understand it. We'll try another movie next holiday season maybe when you are three and a half or maybe around your next birthday. It all depends on when we think you will be able to handle it. Of course our judgement regarding that particular subject has now come into scrutiny because we thought maybe you would do okay yesterday.
Before the movie we stopped off at Burger King on Clays Mill Road and had lunch. We ate it while we sat in the Explorer. You wanted a bite of our burgers so Mom broke you off a small piece of her sandwich and said, "Give her this" and then you said, "Give me this". It was so cute. As we stood in line for tickets to the film I heard some people behind us talking about how beautiful you are. It just filled my heart with pride.
I'm sorry I haven't been posting to the blog more than I have in the past but as you get older and life evolves I am finding that I just don't have the time to set down here and share with you all the things I would like to. During the week you do and say a hundred cute things that I intend on putting in this blog but when I am finally ready to set down and write I draw a blank.
You are at Granny's right now with Mamaw while Momma naps and I just enjoy some Sunday afternoon quiet time.
Your birthday is next week and you will be two years old. We have a few really nice gifts for you. Your birthday is not nearly as extravagant as it was last year but it's still turned out to be a little bigger deal than either your Mother or I had planned. You are our only child, you know so you are getting spoiled and I don't really see that changing any time soon.
You have fully gotten over your fear of riding with Papaw on the mower. We are all very glad about that. Aunt Lynn & Uncle Rodney got rid of Jon's ATV so that will never be a problem for you again.
Well, I am going to close this post out. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
Hello my little sweetheart. I know you really didn't have a very fun day today, although we definitely intended for you to. We took you to see the movie "Cars". You watched the previews and informed me that you were 'done'. So you and I spent the rest of the time outside in the hallway and lobby and you spent almost every minute of it getting in trouble one way or another. You tried to sneak into other movie theatres. We tried to go back into the Theatre where Cars was playing and you ran out of it and I had to jump up and run after you. We tried to switch seats but that didn't seem to help. You are just too little to be doing things like that I reckon. It really wasn't fair to you to stay but we payed almost eighteen dollars for the tickets and I know Daddy really wanted to see it. I really wanted someone to see it anyway. I was very upset after the movie; I don't like having to put you in trouble and I especially don't like spanking you. On this trip I had to do both. Bless your heart, you are so sweet. I am so sorry that I had to do that. You were trying to run out the door of the theatre into the parking lot. I about had a heart attack. I'd rather spank you so that you know better next time than to see you get hurt or worse. That would absolutely take the meaning from my life.
Well, at least we had a better time when we got home. You and I went outside to set up your pool and fill it up with water. Then we both plopped in the ice cold water and swam around. We are silly, you and I. But we had a lot of fun. I love you so very much that I don't mind acting a little crazy with you now and then. You are such a good little girl. Even at the Theatre I know it was only you being two and not being bad. You could never be bad because you are just too sweet. I said you were bad but I was frustrated. I didn't mean a word of it, you are the sweetest best little child anyone could ever ask for.
Thursday you drug your stuffed Pooh, my bed blanket, your sippy cup, a fake piece of cake, a play bowl, and a pretend chicken leg into the hallway. You told me to come and sit down with you and your friends. I asked if you wanted to have a picnic. You said "YES!" and you had strategically placed the chicken leg in pooh's hand. You thought that was fantastic and had to get me to look. I stopped everything I was doing and sat down in the hallway and had a picnic with you and your Pooh Friend. You are so creative and imaginative sometimes that it's hard for me to think of you as still being a little baby. We tried to rush you into that movie today because we know you are smart and well behaved and you generally take directions very well but we forgot all about you just wanting to run and play and be a baby while you still can. I want you to be a baby while you still can, too; If I could freeze time and stay as long as I wanted in that moment where we were having a picnic on a blanket in the hallway I think I might stay there with you for years. I love you so much Rebecca and I want you to know that I will try to be the best mother I can to you.
That's all I have to say tonight because my eyes are filling up with tears thinking about how you will be two so soon and it seemed like only yesterday that I could hold you in one arm and rub your fuzzy little head and you'd lay on mine and Daddy's chest while you slept and you wouldn't roll over .... and then you did.... and then you crawled.. and then you walked.. it goes so fast that I don't want to push it anymore. I love you, my baby girl.

Dear Rebecca,
We have plans to take you to the movie theater for the first time in your life in the morning. We are going to see Cars, the new animated film from Disney and Pixar. I hope you do okay with it. You are normally a very well behaved young lady but sitting in the same place for two hours might test your patience a bit though. We are going to the brand new AmStar theater between Lexington and Nicholasville.
We had a buggy infestation this week. Your Mom woke up and said there was dozens of bugs in the kitchen. I said I would take care of it when I got up; this was around 4:30 in the morning. When I finally got up the bugs had multiplied like you wouldn't believe. There was hundreds of winged ants in the kitchen. We had some bug spray and we killed them all but we bought some heavy duty spray and I am going to spray the whole house and around the outside as well.
I had a whole bunch of stuff to tell you but I can't think of any of it right now. Maybe I will try again later tonight and more will come to me. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
Yesterday was father's day. You and I fixed Daddy a big breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs. It's what Moose from Noggin fixed his Daddy for breakfast, too. You woke him up excitedly and told him to 'Come Eat!' He came to eat and while we were all at the breakfast table you told him "Happy Faders Day". That touched his heart down to the core. Then you ran him his surprise which was a card with his mud jug receipt in it because it was on it's way here. He thanked you and gave you a big hug. Daddy is a good father to you and a good husband to Mommy. We are both very lucky to have him.
After our big breakfast, which was actually our lunch, you were tired and went down for a nap. You slept about two hours and during that time Daddy and I watched the tail end of a TV show he had been looking at. Then Daddy laid down just as you got up and I got you and your diaper bag ready to go down to Mamaw & Papaw's house. Daddy only slept about forty five minutes and then we went down to take Papaw the hat and T-shirt you bought him. The hat said #1 Grandpa and the T-shirt had a bunch of funny sayings on it about being a granddad. I wish we could have afforded to get him a little more because Papaw has been very good to all of us. He has been especially good to Mommy and he really didn't have to be. Sometimes when I hear a song by Brad Paisley called "Half The Dad He Didn't Have To Be" I think about your Papaw. He is a good man and I know where your own dear Dad gets a lot of his good qualities from. Mommy and her Daddy, your Papaw Lawrence, have never been very close. I don't know why it's just that a lot of things happened to get in the way of our relationship. Someday you will learn all about it but right now your only job is to grow up and enjoy all the love and affection that you get from a family who truly loves you deeply.
When we got down to Papaw's his weed eater had gone whacky and he wasn't having too good of a Papa's day. We decided we'd take him out to the KFC buffet in Nichlosville for supper. We all had a real enjoyable time there in at the corner table in KFC, watching you put on a big show the way you always do. Papaw loves you better than a hog loves slop. And take it from a piggy, hogs love slop. After supper it started to rain and Daddy and I wanted to get you home and get you in bed because it was getting very, very late. You cried and cried because you wanted to go in with Mamaw and Papaw. Poor Mamaw's heart was breaking but I think she was making it worse by prolonging our departure. You cried until we got off Lillard's Ferry and then you settled down and started hollering bye-bye. When I took you there before work today you asked if you could "go in". I informed you that you indeed got to stay today. You were pretty happy about that. When it comes to loving Mamaw and Papaw, you also love THEM better than a hog loves slop.
We spent the entire morning, you and I, doing nothing and hanging out. Around eleven o'clock we went to the grocery store. At first you were not too pleased because you expected to go down to Mamaw's house and we were no where near Mamaw's house. Then you got in the store and you were your normal friendly little self speaking to everyone and showing off the cookie you got a the deli. You felt the need to tell everyone in passing that you had a "Cookie!" Everyone thought that was cute.
I had to leave you at twelve thirty today so I could be at work by one. I told Mamaw if the old Nuns I worked for didn't depend on me so badly that I would have called in sick today. I was so enjoying just being with my precious little girl. I got off work a little early though so I got to give you your shower and spend a few minutes with you before you went to bed. You went to bed at eight tonight because Mamaw said you did not have a nap today. You're getting older and getting wiser and not wanting to miss anything. If you miss anything, don't miss this: I want you to know that I love you more than anything in this world and I will try to be the best mother, friend, and confidant you will ever have. I love you, Rebecca.

Dear Rebecca,
As you know, your Mom worked yesterday from seven to seven. We had a really great day together. You and I went to the pool at Falling Springs. It was your first trip over there this year. I don't think you can remember the trips you took last summer because you were very young. You really didn't know where we were going but you went right along with me like the trusting little angel that you are. You saw the water and all the other people out there having fun and you knew then that a day of fun was ahead. You had an absolute ball. You don't mind getting your head dunked at all. I worked my way up to dunking you though. After we had been there for a few hours you heard a train whistle and you lost all interest in the pool. You just wanted to know where the train was. We left a little while after that and had some lunch at McDonald's and we came home and since you were already in your swimming suit I dropped you in your little pool out back. You had big fun there as well. I did a little better job of sunblocking you yesterday but your Mom says I missed the area right under your eyes so that now you look like a football player with red under your eyes instead of black. I on the other hand forgot to use any sunblock at all and my face, tummy and upper back are all now the approximate shade of a coke can.
That's it for this post. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
Monday I did something that may potentially be a huge giant big deal in our lives. I don't want to get into it too much right now because I don't want to jinx it but let's just say that I haven't been this excited about something since you were born and that includes getting this house. I just hope it all works out. I am so excited and also incredibly afraid that something will come along and dash my dream. Okay, I won't mention it again until we can get things under way and if you never hear about it again you can just assume that things went terribly wrong.
It's been a real nice week. You spent lots of time down at Mamaw & Papaw's this past week while your Mom worked and I got to ride Papaw's dirt bike some this week. We got a few more items for your birthday. The plans for your birthday are shaping up quite nicely, by the way.
Your Mom's Taurus needs another drive belt. That car has caused us more problems than any other automobile I have ever had. Your Mom doesn't like driving it while it has the old belt on it because it makes a loud squeaking noise and she is embarrassed by it so she has been driving my Explorer. I ride with Papaw to and from work most everyday so that's not a problem.
We got your pool up and running and you absolutely love it. I got off work at noon today and you and Mom came to get me at work. Your Mom left for work as soon as we put you down for a nap. I filled up your neon green pool with fresh water while you slept. You got up with a dirty diaper and was extremely upset that you didn't get a chance to do it in the potty. You want to use the potty you just haven't mastered the art of holding it just yet. It won't be long before you get it; I know I have been saying that for a year now but I feel you are very close now. Anyway as I was changing your dirty diaper you wanted your swimming suit. I said yes and your eyes lit up like it was Christmas morning. We both went outside on the deck where we keep the pool and you and I both had a ball. You splashed in the water for two and a half hours. I even got in for twenty minutes or so because I got extremely hot. I even burned my big fat belly. You had big fun while I was in the pool with you. Your Mother and I both got in the pool with you the other day and I forgot to take my wallet and a brand new can of Copenhagen out of my pockets. This time I remembered to take those things but I left my belt on.
Yep, all we had today was fun except when you got sunblock in your eyes. That was not fun for you at all. You cried and screamed like a crazy person. I thought maybe you were overdoing it just a bit until I got it in my eyes too and then I cried and screamed like a crazy person. That stuff hurts bad. And for all that I didn't get you sunblocked around the edges of your bathing suit legs and you got a little burn there. I am such a terrible daddy.
After you had a shower I fixed you a supper of leftover salad, cottage cheese, pickles, cheese nips and grape drink. You seemed to enjoy supper so I reckon I did okay. After supper we had an oreo cookie and watched Little Bear until your Mother got home.
You are most definitely a Mama's girl right now and I am perfectly fine with that. You have figured out that you and Mama have similar parts and when Mama is around she is the only one you want to change your diaper. You'll begrudgingly allow me to do it when Mama is at work but you most definitely prefer Mama over your poor old Daddy. Also you must be carried to bed by Mama; Daddy just will not do. You make sure that I follow the two of you into your room but Mama must be the one doing the packing. Yep, you are a Mama's girl.
You have started doing something that just drives your Mother and I both up the proverbial wall. Everything you get your hands on that you like and do not want to part with has magically became your own personal property. "Mine! Mine! Mine!"
I have a feeling that will soon become your catch phrase. This week when we were down at Aunt Lynn & Uncle Rodney's you got your hands on one of the boy's beach balls. You loudly proclaimed for the world to hear that the ball belonged to you. I informed you that the ball belonged to Jon but you would have none of that. You informed me that I was mistaken and that the ball belonged to you. Your Mom told me the other day that whenever you say that she informs you that whatever it is that you are talking about belongs to her and that she is graciously allowing you the temporary use of said object. I don't believe a word of it though. Your Mother would give you her right arm and left leg if she thought that would make you happy. Your Mother is a soft touch as I am sure you have figured out and used to your best advantage by now.
Well, I have to get up with you tomorrow because your Mom is working from seven to seven tomorrow so I will close out this entry. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
What a good girl you were today! At the spur of the moment we decided to go to the Wal-Mart in Frankfort to replace the pool that daddy poked a hole in. You really love to play in the pool. You are a little water acrobat. Our water bill is gonna be sky high this month. Anyway, that's besides the point.
We went to steak-n-shake for lunch and you had a grilled cheese and fries. You were very hungry and you kept hollering for the waitress to bring you your fries. You wanted them right then, no questions asked. You also had some cottage cheese. You love cottage cheese. You ate a lot of that. You ate pretty good and so did we. We had steak-n-shake hamburgers. They call them steak burgers but they are hamburgers. Anyway, after dinner we all shared a chocolate peanut butter milkshake. They call those sippable sundae's but they are milkshakes with hot fudge and chocolate chips on them. Come to think of it I don't think there was even a cherry in this one. If there was, we all missed it. Unless Daddy ate it. You really enjoyed dessert, as we all did.
After dessert we went to Wal-Mart. You had a big time in Wal-Mart. We put you on your Elmo harness and let you run around the store. You found a huge ball and played with that for a moment, until I had to take it from you and put it in the cart because we were getting in people's way. You also found a baby, two puppies, seven or eight other items we had to put back on the shelf. You also rode a tiny little push button four wheeler on the floor of the Wal-Mart toy ailse. I was amazed you weren't afraid of it. However, it was just your size. You took off on it like you knew what was up. Then we put that up and your 'rode' a Dora bicycle which will probably be your next birthday present. Everyone thought you were adorable and so very sweet. You always get lots of compliments wherever you go. You're a good little girl.
Daddy just informed me your new pool is full so I am going to go and heat some water up to dump in it so you can take it for a tiny test run. It's a bit cool out back but the deck is shielded pretty good from the wind and I know you're going to want to hop in it any old way. By the way, you're birthday is an Elmo themed party this year. I know you will love that. Mommy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
I was planning on doing a nice long blog regarding Mommy & Daddy's day out together yesterday but it's storming and lightening so I don't want my computer on during this so I will try to make this a short one.
Mama took you down to Mamaw & Papaw's while I stayed here and got ready to go. We ate at Logan's and each had a yummy steak. We looked all over two towns, Lexington and Nicholasville for your playhouse and eventually found it at the Northside Wal-Mart. But they didn't have your basketball goal so we are planning on getting that next week. We got you a new pool as well. When we got home Mama went down to Mamaw & Papaw's to get you while I stayed here at the house so I could blow up your inflatable pool; I busted it. We are going to have to get you another one.
I'm gonna close now. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
Auntie Lynn & Uncle Rodney sold the four-wheeler that has caused you so much trouble with loud engine noises lately. Mamaw convinced Aunt Lynn that Jon was just too wild on the thing. I have never been a big fan of four-wheelers. They turn over much too easily for my taste. It was okay while you rode it with someone who knew what they were doing but if you don't know how to drive one or if you do not respect the machine they can kill you.
Granny, Mamaw & Papaw joined us for supper Thursday night. I mowed the lawn while you and everyone else stayed in the house and talked. Just as I finished up weed eating around your swing set your Mom informed me that supper was ready. We had Pizza Hut pizza and salad. We had a super supreme pizza, a pepperoni pizza and my personal favorite, cheese lover's pizza. It was fun. I know Pizza Hut is much more expensive than where we usually get our pizza from, Little Ceasar's, but we were in the mood for really good pizza and Pizza Hut is much better than Little Caesar's. The only reason we primarily order from Little Caesar's is because they are much cheaper; a one topping pizza costs $5. Later that same evening when it was time to start winding down you wanted the living room light off, as usual but this time you decided that you had watched Mom & Dad turn it off enough that you thought maybe you could handle it on your own. You fumbled around with it for awhile and Mama asked you if you wanted her to do it for you and you said "Becca do it" and sure enough you got the job done. I was in the kitchen sweeping the floor or maybe I was just making another mess so I didn't get to see you do this but I heard it all and Mama said that you were very proud of yourself. Mama & Daddy were proud of you too.
This afternoon you and I had supper down at Mamaw & Papaw's house. Granny was there as well. We had white beans and greens. You absolutely love greens and that fact just fascinates Mamaw. You ate a whole plate of greens and a few beans.
You and I took a walk down to Aunt Lynn & Uncle Rodney's after supper but it wasn't because you had any great hankering to visit with them. It was because that's where Jon & Jacob's pool is at and you wanted to "Play water", as you say. You've been spending quite a bit of time in their pool while Mamaw watches you. We got your pool you had last year down out of the attic this past week and discovered that you had outgrown it. You still love to splash around in it but you really do need a bigger pool and I think maybe you will get a little bigger one for your birthday.
Your Mom & I are going birthday shopping for you tomorrow and we are going to go out to eat at Logan's Roadhouse. We are going to see if we can't get you a playhouse for the backyard, a toddler basketball goal because you love basketball, the pool, of course and a Cinderella DVD. We have already ordered the DVD from Amazon.com. It came out at Christmas and Disney only has their classic films on the market for a limited time so I was afraid that we wouldn't get it but apparently we did. I hope someone else gets you Dumbo. That one was released just this past week.
This past week you rode with Papaw on the tractor of your own accord. I am so proud of you. Ever since the four-wheeler accident you have been afraid of it. I could see in your eyes that you desperately wanted to ride but were just too afraid. I think it was Wednesday we were down there and you saw Papoo on the tractor and you said "Papoo ride", I asked you "Becca Papoo ride?" and you thought it over a minute and you finally decided "kay" you would ride with Papoo. I handed you over to Papoo and you didn't fuss at all. You still looked a little worried but that lasted about as long as it took to get the tractor in motion and then you were just concentrating on having fun. I still don't think you are as comfortable with riding as you were before the accident but you are coming around and for that we are all very happy; well, maybe not Mama. I think she would be happiest if you never ever wanted to ride anything without a roof again. I'm just kidding. Your Mama loves seeing you happy and riding does make you happy.
I have been using my trips to pick you up from Mamaw & Papaw's as an excuse to ride Papaw's dirt bike. I am jonesing hard for a street bike of my own. I would love to have one but right now we have other things to worry about. Your Mom has decided to get her CNA license so she will be able to get a better paying job in the healthcare field. Right now, as I am sure you know, she is a sitter for two elderly nuns at Taylor Manor. She does most of stuff that a CNA does but doesn't get CNA pay because she is not a licensed CNA. The plan is for her to get her CNA and then to go back to school and get a degree in nursing. Nursing pays very handsomely and there is always openings for qualified nurses.
Well, I gotta start thinking about maybe getting ready to start getting ready to get in bed so I will close this post out. Daddy loves Rebecca!
Dear Rebecca,
I've just put you down for a nap. I don't think you've gone to sleep yet; I can still hear you 'talking' to your stuffed animals. I always think that is so cute. I had put some ice in your milk before I put you down today because it wasn't very cold. You heard ice rattling around in the cup and you were convinced it wasn't milk. I finally got you to taste it and you were satisfied that was, indeed, your beloved 'chocate miyuk'.
You spent the day with Mamaw yesterday while Mommy was at work. She said the two of you, and Papaw, had lots of fun. You saw a frog, and a rabbit, but most of all, you got to see a baby deer. It was just born. Whenever I ask you if you saw a deer you reply, "Baby Deer!" You feel the need to stress that it was a baby deer. You and Mamaw are much more brave than I ever would have been. I know how protective wild animals are of their young; it's only natural. Humans are the same way. Of course, we are animals too. That's odd to me, but we are. Sometimes I think you are an animal. You are my little destructive darlin' today.
Earlier today you dropped something you had been playing with behind the couch. I pulled the couch out so you could pick it up and you got excited the way you always do and you took off running. You smashed into the large picture stand Mommy has with your pictures in it in the living room and shattered one of the glass covers in the frame. I know that you were convinced that you were in big trouble because your eyes got really wide and you looked at me and said "Momma, Broken!" I know you didn't mean to do it so I told you not to worry about it and got you interested in the drink I had so that I could get it all cleaned up. I am pretty confident that I got most of the glass up; it didn't shatter too badly but I vacuumed all around the area just in case. I don't want you or Daddy getting your foot poked. I don't want to get my foot poked, either.
Some time later after that incident I was on the phone with Mamaw and you were playing in the bedroom in the big blue rocking chair. You got up and wanted to look at your self in the 'miyyo" - the mirror, and you climbed up on the white wicker laundry basket we used to use when you were a tiny baby. Now I can barely put three or four outfits in it. You were doing alright on your knees looking at yourself but you decided you wanted that full-body view and stood up. Just as soon as you did you came crashing down and almost hit your head on the wall. Nearly scared me to death. We are getting rid of that basket today. Daddy is going to put it in the attic or the garage or somewhere. Somewhere out of your reach and temptation.
After that incident. we went into the living room and tried to watch and episode of Bob The Builder to calm down. You really like that show for some reason. You weren't interested in today, however. You wanted to go in your room and climb in and out of your big grey toy bucket and dance on it and roll around in the toys inside it. Which also made me nervous. Sometimes I wonder why I haven't suffered a heart attack yet. You always seem to bounce back from your little bumps a lot better than I ever could these days. That's one thing that's good about being a baby; baby's heal fast. Sometimes babies don't learn though, but you're a pretty good remember-er. You won't go near the four wheeler to this day.
After you were done fooling around in your room, we played some in the living room while we waited on your lunch to finish. You had your lunch and I put your clothes back on you and put you down for a nap. Which is where you are now, and I think you are finally asleep. Mommy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
I'm not real happy with the picture I put up on your blog for your twenty-third month birthday. We really didn't get a good one today. Well, we got a lot of good ones but not one that shows you smiling from the front. I thought for sure we would get one today. I can get one tomorrow or the next day and use that one instead. It doesn't have to be exactly your birthday to be posted just pretty close.
We all went to the park today after your nap. You swang forever. Mama said you were still kind of groggy from your nap. After you swinging we went and played on a balance beam with another 23 month old toddler. You loved bouncing on the beam. Then we took a little walk around the trail because you wanted to see the fishies. There was some young hooligans running their bicycles into the water at the first bridge so we didn't get to see any fish there so we went on to the second bridge. There you got to see some fishies.
We continued our walk and a super skinny kitten came upon us. He was so friendly. Your Mom wanted to take him home but I didn't think it was a good idea. Eventually I agreed to take him to the humane society if we could get him to the car. The cat came almost all the way to the car with us but we he got nervous when some kids I don't think were all that bright tried to "help" us with the kitty. They made the poor animal so nervous that he just ran off. He was a very friendly kitten so I am sure he will be rescued. As we walked along you kept calling for the kitty to follow us. He would rub up against your legs and you would giggle and tell us how much that tickled. We had a real good time at the park.
After the park we went to McDonald's for some ice cream or i-team as you like to call it. We ended up getting supper and shakes. You got a hamburger & fries and your Mom and I got one of their new asian salads. We both hated the salad. It was spicy. I really don't think that a salad should be spicy. I ate all of the chicken and mandarin oranges out of mine and your Mom went and got herself some fries and a double cheeseburger. You didn't touch your burger. You kept annoying your Mother by crawling into her lap. She was annoyed until she realized that you wouldn't always want to be crawling up in her lap forever. I could see the annoyance drain from her face and I knew what she was thinking. I know some of the most annoying things that you do now will probably be the ones that we will miss the most when you get too old to do them.
There's one thing I will not be sorry to see you stop doing and that is pooping in your diaper. You have been sick the last few weeks and you have had some thin & toxic poops. I think you are feeling better from your virus but are having trouble getting over your diarrhea. Which is reason enough to go for another visit to your pediatrician. Your Mom doesn't think you are feeling better at all and the diarrhea is simply proof of that. Either way your Mom is going to make an appointment with your doctor Monday.
We bought philly cheese steak subs and baked potatoes for Mamaw & Papaw at Arby's and took them down to their house so we could all visit for awhile. It was really just a ploy on my part to put off mowing the lawn and of course so I could ride Papaw's dirt bike. I rode the dirt bike for maybe an hour while Papaw mowed the back field and you, Mama & Mamaw stayed on the deck and talked. Eventually your Mom made me get off of the bike and we went home.
I started on the yard as soon as I got home and you went in for your bath. You visited me once after your bath as I was finishing up the front yard. I was glad to see you because I knew I wouldn't get to be with you and your Mom when she tucked you in for the night. I finished up the yard at almost nine o'clock. I'm glad to have gotten that done. It was starting to look a little ratty. The weather people kept predicting rain so I didn't during the week. It didn't rain as much as they said it would. I could have mowed it during the week like most of our neighbors did but I just didn't. It looks okay now though. Except for the massive amounts of weeds that I just can't seem to get rid of. The weeds are driving me bonkers. I hate weeds with a passion.
You did something so cute the other day. We were putting you to bed and you both were holding you and kissing on you when you started pushing Mommy & Daddy's faces together so we could kiss. You have been doing that for a long time now but the other day you pushed our faces together and you stuck your pretty little face into ours and we had a big family sugar and then you said "friends". That was so cute and so true. Through the years to come you will come to think of us not so much as your friends from time to time because we will make demands of you that will think unfair and maybe even cruel but everything we will do will be because we love you. Remember your Mother & I are the two greatest and most loyal friends that you will ever know in your life.
Well, I think that I am getting up with you in the morning so I had better close out this post. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
Right now you are sleeping. At least I think you are. Shortly I will be joining you for your nap. We went to pick up my first paycheck at Taylor Manor today. I was expecting $240 dollars or so and I got $235. Pretty right on the money, wasn't I? We got to see Sister Agnes today, she thought you were the cutest little thing ever. When we finally got out to the car is when you started yelling "BYE!" at her. You are so funny. You acted all shy in the nursing home but everyone still thought you were very cute indeed. You wore the little skirt and shirt Mamaw and Aunt Lynn bought for you. I was going to put you in your yellow dress & put the yellow flower Sister Agnes gave you in your hair but I couldn't find it. (The dress, not the flower)
We then set off to go to the cable company and the grocery store, in which at both places we spent most of Mommy's hard-earned money. Whoo, nothing like shooting the moon, so to speak. I want you to know that I had an extremely fun time with you today, as I always do. You are the sweetest and most wonderful company anyone could ask for. I love you dearly & am so glad that I have you. Mommy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
I forgot to feed you lunch yesterday. I reckon that makes me a bad dad. I put you down for a nap at one o'clock. I should have given you something before I did that but I forgot. I feel really bad about that. It took you forever to get to sleep and when you finally did you slept for quite some time. Hunger is probably the reason you had such a hard time getting to sleep. It's a good thing that your Mom is the primary caregiver 80% of the time or you may have not made it to your twenty-second month.
I got you up when Sissy, Allison, showed up. I went and got a gallon of gasoline and mowed and trimmed the lawn. It was a scorcher today. Allison told me the two of you danced in the living room and had a ball. She said you watched me mowing out the front door for awhile and cried after me whenever I was out of your sight. I reckon you love your poor clueless father even though he doesn't know enough to feed you. You and Allison joined me out in the yard just as I was finishing up. You decided that you wanted to take a walk so off you headed down the sidewalk. You turned and said "Daddy c'mon", which really mean "Daddy come on", so I followed you down the sidewalk. We took quite a long walk with you determining where we went and how far we went. Before we left you had to kiss the trees in our front yard bye-bye and after we had already gone some distance you had to go all the way back so you could tell Sissy, who was trimming our hedges, bye-bye as well.
Your Mom showed up as I was in the shower and we all went down to Mamaw & Papaw's for a cook-out. It was fun but I forgot to feed myself as well so I was ravenous. I ate a chili dog, two huge servings of a yummy salad that Aunt Lynn makes, a smaller helping of baked beans, some sliced cucumbers, three hamburgers, a piece of a strawberry-whipped cream dessert thing and two and a half glasses of iced tea. I made myself kinda sick. I don't know if you ate big or not because I was too busy making myself absolutely miserable.
After supper you went down to get in Jon & Jacob's pool but you had had a poopy in your pull-up so your Mom cleaned you up and dropped you in the pool bare butt naked. When Mom dropped you in the pool you were frozen but you declared that it was "Fun" You had a ball in the pool with the boys. You tried to do everything that Jacob was doing. I was riding Papaw's dirt bike for awhile while you were in the pool but I wasn't really feeling great and it was getting dark so I decided to head down and watch you in the pool. I'm glad I did because you are such a cutie. We eventually took you out of the pool and got a new pull-up on you and you kissed everyone goodbye and we left. We dropped you straight into bed when we got home and I finally got a kiss good-night. I hadn't had one for the last three nights and I was missing my night-night kisses.
Well, it's late and I want to go to bed relatively early and I still don't feel very well so I will close out this post. Happy Memorial Day, by the way. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
I didn't mow last night like I said I was going to do. Your Mom got up from her nap about the same time that you did and she wanted to go out and since we didn't have a baby sitter we decided to take you to see your very first movie at a movie theatre. We decided to go see Ice Age II: Meltdown; it started at seven o'clock. We grilled burgers out on the deck and had a real nice supper and then we decided that you would be too sleepy to enjoy the movie that late so we put it off until next weekend when we can go to an early showing. By that time I was just plain uninspired to mow. I will do it tonight for sure.
You and I went to church this morning. I don't think you enjoyed the nursery as much as I would have liked. We must get you used to being by yourself for short periods of time though because eventually you will start pre-school and we don't want that to be too traumatic for you. We had breakfast at McDonalds this morning. I had a Chicken biscuit and a hashbrown and you had a plain biscuit and a hashbrown. I also got a chicken biscuit for Mamaw & Granny. I couldn't do anything with your hair this morning so I took you by Granny's where Mamaw was and she fixed your hair for us. It was real pretty.
You are in your bedroom right now but you are not sleeping. You are chatting away with your friend, Dora, Pooh and Moon. The phone just rang and started you hollering for me. I am going to leave you in there until you nap. You need to nap. Allison is coming over shortly and I am going to have her watch you while I mow the lawn.
Well, I reckon I will let you go. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
We had a nice walk this afternoon; well, I had a nice walk and you had a nice ride because you would not let me put you down for love nor money. I tried a few times to put you down just long enough to get myself a dip and you turned and reached up and cried so I picked you right back up. I was hoping you would walk because you can get just a little heavy after a mile or so. Well, we probably didn't go a mile. We went out to the end of South Hill Drive. You were tired. When we got home we played out in the backyard for another half hour or so. We both had big fun. Right now you are taking a nap. You've been down for maybe an hour or so. Your Mom just now laid down to take a little nap of her own. She must be tired because she was telling me something and when I leaned back in my chair and folded my arms she said that was my annoyed look and she got just a little snippity.
As your Mom has already told you, you got some nice new outfits yesterday. Mamaw bought you the cutest little summer outfit with a patchwork skirt and I figured that you needed some sandals to go with it so you and I went to Kmart. As we were walking in we saw a display outside with mix & match toddler clothes. I looked the display over and found a horizontal striped outfit and a lime green outfit for you. I think they are real cute. We went inside and I had a heck of a time wrangling you so we could try on sandals. You started hollering when I sat you down to try on the sandals but when you saw new shoes you shut right up. The sandals fit you perfectly. They are tan sandals with three white flafus, or flowers as they are sometimes known as, on the part that goes across the top of your foot and one flafu on the heel. I was real proud of my shopping trip.
I have to mow soon. It rained cats & dogs this week so I did not get a chance to take care of it. It's looking kinda shaggy outside. I think I might take a trip to the gas station to get some mower gas later this afternoon and then mow tonight. I would like to get it done today because your Mom works all day tomorrow.
I reckon we are going to go to church in the morning to hear the second part of a two part sermon on the lies of the book and movie, The Da Vinci Code. I have that book and intend on reading it eventually. Even though it is loaded with outrageous lies it does seem to be an interesting tale. I won't be quite as good as Mommy about getting you settles in the nursery but I reckon we will manage.
After that I guess we will head on down to Mamaw & Papaw's and spend the day down there. I want to ride the dirt bike that Doug, Uncle Rodney's brother has decided to keep down there. He says he doesn't want the bike but he doesn't want to sale it so we can use it for however long we want it. Papaw has poured hundreds of dollars into getting it into running condition again. It hadn't been started for eleven years. It seemed to be running okay this week though. I rode it Wednesday and had a ball. I love riding motorcycles and one day I hope to get a street bike of my own. Oh, I just now realized that tomorrow is Aunt Lynn's birthday and Mamaw & Papaw's anniversary so we may get some birthday/anniversary cake.
I have no idea what we are going to do Memorial Day, which is Monday. I am off but your Mom has to work. Maybe we will go down to Mamaw & Papaw's again. That would be fun.
Well, you have woken up and I reckon I had better get up and make sure you don't get into any trouble. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
Hello my little sweetie bird. Right now you are asleep in your room quietly. You haven't been feeling too well. I took you to the doctor on Thursday and he said you have a stomach virus and a cold virus. You poor little thing; it seems that you can never just get one thing at a time. You were, however, as usual, a true little gem in every sense of the word. You smiled and waved at everyone and told the nurse she was 'done' when the thermometer beeped. She thought that was funny. The doctor thought you looked very nice in your new dress that Mamaw bought for you at Kohl's. Speaking of things Mamaw bought for you; you got some new outfits today. Mamaw bought you a few and Daddy bought you two, and a pair of Sandals. I went back to the store and bought you another one and some sunblock. If you are going to be wearing all these skimpy little shorts outfits I want some sunblock on those arms and legs and that pretty little face! I can't have you getting sunspots, No Ma'am.
We went to the grocery store today and we bought some things for the week. I also had to go and get you some cold medicine for your cold. There is really not much we can do for the stomach virus except wait it out. You are feeling better in the stomach aspect already; the cold is getting worse but as they do it will get worse before it gets better.
I have been working all week long and I am off tomorrow but then I have to work a twelve hour shift on Sunday. I don't mind it too much every now and then but I won't be making a habit of it as I enjoy going to church with you and Daddy. In addition to that the big draw to this job was that I didn't have to work any weekends. I like being off on the weekends with you and Daddy. On Sunday we usually go to church and then I come home and do a bunch of laundry and we all sit around and watch TV like three knots on a log. Or if it is very nice we all go to the park and hop around like three ants on an apple. Or whatever. It's just what we do on the weekends, whatever it is, that I enjoy, because we do it as a family. All week long Daddy is gone to work and on the weekend we finally get him to ourselves. We love Daddy very much, you and I.
In the store today you told everyone "Hi". You are the friendliest little thing I ever did see. You always bring a smile to everyone's face and I am sure a smile to their heart. So much has gone on this week that I can't think of one thing in particular that I want to tell you. I mostly want to tell you that you make me so happy; I love you so much and I am so glad I have you here with me and Daddy. I am the luckiest lady on Earth; I have the best family in the world! I love you, Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
Here it is on a Tuesday and I am getting to post to the blog. You and Mom came to get me this afternoon from work and when we got home your Mom decided that the two of you would go visit Granny for awhile while I stayed here and treated the yard with some weed killer. You got to see Papaw at work today too. You didn't want to come home with Mom & Dad. You wanted to go to Papaw house.
Last night while you were at Mamaw & Papaw's house your best doggy buddy, Ruffie bit a girl riding by on a bicycle. Papaw thinks that those people in their little spandex biking suits and bullet helmets ought to be banned from the road. I agree. The man with the girl was very arrogant but those cyclists are usually like that. They called animal control on Ruffie. I think Aunt Lynn & Uncle Rodney intend on keeping Ruffie so that is a good thing. It was kind of sad to see Ruffie get in so much trouble though.
You are starting to answer us when we ask you questions. That's very exciting. You have been spouting orders at us for some time now but it's cool to have some meaningful communication with you. We are so proud of you.
Well, I think y'all are home now. Gotta go. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
You had a pretty nice day today. You talked your Mom into taking you to McDonalds for a milkshake. The both of you were watching television when a McDonalds commercial came on featuring milkshakes; You looked at the screen and then over to your Mom and said "Milkshake Yum". Mom had no choice but to take you to McDonalds for your very own milkshake. Your Mother spoils you flat rotten, my sweet little girl.
You went home with Mamaw today because your Mom had to work. When I arrived to pick you up Papaw was feeding you some peas. You do like your peas. I'm glad of that because peas are good for you. I love peas too but I am afraid your Mom doesn't care much for many vegetables at all and even then she doesn't like for them to be cooked. After the peas you had some cottage cheese with pears. For some reason I don't believe we've ever given you cottage cheese. I love cottage cheese and apparently so do you. You at up a whole big ole' bowl and then you had a few bites of penne pasta with alfredo sauce. You didn't eat too much of that but I believe it's because you filled up on peas and cottage cheese.
I had supper with Mamaw & Papaw. As we were eating you sat down on Ruffie's back. He just sat there and you talked about doggy rides. It was so cute. That big ole' dog is so very patient with you. Eventually it got a little cool so we left the deck and went into the basement. Mom came down to Mamaw & Papaw's after she got off from work. She was so tired. She gave you a bath in the big sink in the basement and you ran around and played in the basement for a good little while. Your Mom decided she was too tired to drive home so I drove us all back in the truck and we left the car down there. The car needs a new tire and an alignment so until we get that done you will be riding exclusively in the truck. It shouldn't be too long until we get that done.
I think your Mom likes her job a little more now that she knows a little better what is expected of her. I am glad of that because I would have hated for you Mom to be working at a job she didn't like. Well, I reckon I'll let you go for now. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
I was off work today and we've had an excellent day together. It was a bit of a lazy morning. We watched an episode of Blue's Clues when you woke up and then I had a cup of coffee and watched Dr. Phil from three days ago. It seems I never have the time to catch up on Phil. Then we got you dressed (after breakfast of course) and I got dressed and we went to see Granny, Mamaw, and Linda over at Linda and Granny's house. You were the star of the show as usual, putting your 'purse' on your head and marching around like a solider. Everyone thought you were so cute and funny. You stayed with Mamaw while I followed Aunt Linda to the tire place to get her car fixed. Then I ran to the store to get us some milk and some hot dog fixins for supper. I picked you up and brought you home and by that time you were more than ready for your nap. You took a long snooze, from about one thirty to three thirty. Actually that's a pretty normal length of a nap for you, it's just that it was so late in the day for you to take one. Your schedule is getting all jumbled around I am afraid. Eventually we'll get you into an even keel again. We just have to be patient.
We all ate a good supper of hot dogs and pork and beans, potato chips and chili. After dinner we played in the floor, you and I, while Daddy looked on. You kept 'play-eating' my hair. You are so funny sweetie. Then we played "Spider on the Floor" and I chased you around with my hand like a spider. You thought that was big fun, too. Then Daddy got down in the floor and played blocks with you while I rested on the couch. Daddy decided to go to bed pretty early so I went to give you your bath and you pooped in the water. It upset you greatly. There was poop in your water and on your toys and you didn't like that one bit! You cried and told me you were done and wanted a hug. I told you not to worry about it one bit, that we would get it all taken care of. I swopped you up and sat you on your potty and you kept hollering for Daddy and crying that there was Poop and saying you had an icky duck. The duck had poop on him, too. I let the water out of the tub and piled all your toys in the sink then I swooped you up and took you into our bathroom and Daddy got up and got into the shower with you. You had fun in the shower, though, and I am glad of that. We got you all cleaned up and I got you dressed while Daddy went back to bed and then I layed you on the couch so you could watch Little Bear. You lay there quietly and drank your juice and watched your show while I picked up the living room and switched out the laundry. Then I sat down with you a while and finished up the episode. After Little Bear you watched a Backyardigan do a dance while I fixed your milk. A Backyardigan is character from another show on Nickelodeon. Most of your shows are on Nickelodeon and some are on Noggin, too. Or is that Vice Versa? Anyway, I got your diaper changed and got you layed down in the bed. You told the TV night-night and the bear on TV (or TD, as you call it) night-night, too. Now you and Daddy are both in bed and I am not far behind. Night Night Honey!

Dear Rebecca,
Mama is at work right now and you are still with Mamaw or you are in the beginning of this post anyway. Mamaw is sitting with Granny tonight so she said she would bring you back home instead of me going down there and picking you up. I am glad of that because I got the yard mowed today. I always like getting that done whenever I have the opportunity and I would not have had the opportunity if it had just been you & I. I also got a leisurely shower in, balanced the checkbook and am getting to do a midweek blog post.
Your Mom, you and I went to Wal-Mart yesterday after you and Mom picked me up from work. We first went to Captain D's for a fish supper. It wasn't as good as it normally is. I was a bit disappointed. Then we went to Wal-Mart. We saw some little play houses like the ones we want to get you for your birthday on display in front of the store and we decided to see which one you liked the best. Luckily you liked the cheapest one there which is a good thing because that's the one you will be getting anyway. You didn't want to leave.
Once in the store I put you down and let you run all around the store attached to your little harness. I know it looks bad having a baby on a leash but you love it because you get so much more freedom that way. If it wasn't for your harness we would have to carry you around and you would not like that at all. Eventually we joined your Mom in the area where she was searching for a pair of white scrubs for her new job of sitting with some elderly nuns. You hid behind the racks of scrubs. You thought that was big fun.
When it was time for you to leave Daddy-o did a bad thing. You saw a sucker and, being the sucker that I am, I said sure. Your Mom said that you hadn't eaten enough supper to have a sucker and that you couldn't have one. I said please and then you caught on and said please. We were both so pitiful looking that she gave in. You were so happy to have your blue rasberry sucker. Blue rasberry happens to be my favorite sucker flavor, I thought I would finish it up for you. Mom was none too pleased. She said I undermined her authority and she was 100% correct. I should not have pushed it. I should have went along with her on that. I will endeavor to back your Mother up from now on. I may not succeed every time but I know what I did was wrong and I need to work on that. I spoil you just a small wee bit.
On the way home from Wal-mart you acted uncomfortable in your car seat so we stopped to readjust you. I made the mistake of stopping in front of Fazoli's, where your Mamaw usually takes you to eat. You thought you were going to get supper and since you were hungry by this time you threw a fit when I did not get you out of your seat. I should have known better than stopping in front of there.
Well, you are home and Mama is on her way home so I will close for now. Daddy loves Rebecca!
Dear Rebecca,
Hello my little sweetie bird. Right now you are sleeping quietly in your room. It took you forever to fall asleep today. Actually you were asleep really fast but then Daddy called Mommy on her cell phone and it woke you up so you had to start all over again. I am going to have to modify your routine a little bit; I started my new job at the Taylor Manor nursing home just yesterday. I work from one 'til seven every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Originally I thought it would be every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday but I was wrong. They had told me a hundred different things and it was starting to frustrate me a little bit but they finally got it figured out I reckon. Mamaw kept you yesterday while Mommy worked and as always you had a fantastic time with her.
We've had a good day together so far; we got up this morning and had a breakfast of a Cinnamon Raisin bagel with light strawberry cream cheese and Apple Cranberry juice. It was good. We watched Blues Clues or as you call it, Dues Tues while we were eating. Then we set about tidying up the house. You helped me dust and put all the pillows on the bed. You're a great helper. You got into trouble though and you got a little spanking for trying to mess up the shades after I told you three or four times not to. Even though I gave your leg a pretty good swat I don't think you took Mommy too seriously. Well, maybe you did. You didn't cry, but after all, you didn't do it again. I don't want to make you cry, really I don't. I just want to make you mind. You're getting into your terrible two-ness early early. My when something doesn't go your way do you ever throw a fit. Usually it doesn't last very long though and you are right back to your normal happy self.
After we had all of our housework caught up, we went for a walk around the neighborhood. We saw lots of basketball goals; you really want one of those, every one we saw, you jumped up and said Bouncy Ball! at it. We are going to get you small one for your birthday, maybe. Who knows what else you might get. We also saw a caterpillar on the side of a whiskey barrel planter. I touched it several times and felt it's fuzzy little body. I told you what it was and you called it a "piddar". I tried to get you to touch it but you did not want to, not at all. I told you it would not hurt you, that it was fuzzy like a tiny little puppy, but you wanted no part of it. However, when we were leaving, you turned around and threw up your hand to wave at it and said "Bye Piddar!!" You are so very sweet.
After our walk we came in and had a pizza lunchable and some diet pepsi for lunch and I put you down for your nap. That's where you are now, resting quietly. I want to rest a while, too, so I am going to let you go. We are going to pick up Daddy from work today & go to the store. I love you, my pretty baby!

Dear Rebecca,
It's been kind of rainy and dreary most of this past week. I did get to mow the lawn on Monday but I don't know if I'll get to get at it again until early next week. Even though it's been a dreary blah week you and your Mom have been very busy. Your Mother had a job interview at the Methodist Home on Monday and it looked like she had gotten the job working with a bunch of female future prison inmates, but luckily for all three of us she then landed a job working at the Taylor Manor Rest Home sitting for two extremely elderly Catholic nuns. She seems to enjoy that kind of work more than any she has done and when your Mom and I first met she could go through a dozen jobs a year with no problem at all. On the other hand, as of two days ago I have been at General Electric for nineteen years. When Papaw was my age I was already working at General Electric. I got a late start with you but it's because I was holding out for the best baby and it's a good thing that I did because here you are.
Your Mom's hours are going to be from one in the afternoon until seven or so in the evening every weekday except Wednesday. She's also going to get both Saturday and Sunday off so that's super news. I like having your Mom around as do you. We could have made it with no problem on my paycheck but your Mom said we wouldn't have been able to leave the house at all on just my paycheck. No "fies" at "McDondals", no after work trips to Cici's for "pizzie" or anything else that might be construed as fun so her extra money will came in handy for fun stuff and for stuff we might want or need. Mamaw recently retired from her job at the distillery in Frankfort so she will be caring for you until I get home from work around four or so. You will love that because you do love your Mamaw.
You did the cutest thing the other day. As you will recall from an earlier post, we all went out to eat with Granny aka "Gandy" last Saturday. Earlier this week you got hold of my long grill tongs and you started hobbling across the floor saying "Gandy walker". You had seen Granny walking with the walker Saturday and it seemed to fascinate you for some reason. I even got a picture of you taking her walker for a spin around the living room. We told Granny and she thought it was so cute.
Thursday you and Mom came to visit me at work during lunch. I really enjoyed seeing the both of you. Y'all went grocery shopping and then you came back to pick me up after work and we all went to Cici's for pizza and salad. After Cici's your mom went to Home Depot for a shrub for the corner of our house and you and I went to Staples for a pen on a chain for our cork board we post the bills on in the office and some crayons for you. You had a big time in Staples. You must get that from me because for some reason I just love to go into office stores. Your fun was running the aisles and climbing and spinning in the office chairs. We had big fun.
This weekend your mom has to go to my first cousin Marissa's bridal shower, she would be your first cousin once removed, and Aunt Mary and Papaw Lawrence are coming up for Aunt Mary's 30th birthday. We are gonna grill out and then Aunt Mary and your mom go out to karaoke. Your Mom loves karaoke so much. I know I need to take her more often. You'll love seeing Aunt Mairdy as you call her.
Well, I know there was more I wanted to tell you about but I just can't think of what it might be right now so I will close. Daddy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
Hello my little sweetie bird. Right now you and Daddy are both trying to go to sleep. You are still talking to yourself and Daddy just now went in the bedroom. I am not far behind the two of you; I am going to finish drinking my diet coke and then I am on my way.
You went to spend the night with Mamaw last night. I am sure you had a very good time down there with Mamaw, Papoo, YNN! and the kids. In a strange turn of events, you wound up spending all day with Mamaw, too. Taylor Manor, the nursing home down the street, called and offered me a job today. I wasn't going to take it because I didn't think I'd have anyone to look after you. The job is from one p.m. until seven p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Mamaw told me to go ahead and take the job and she'd watch you the three hours it took for Daddy to get home. Then it will just be you & him until seven o'clock. Then I'll be home to give you your bath and put you down for night-night; I am so glad of that. Night-night, or pre night-night, when you are lying in my lap with your "banky" and having your drink, is my favorite time of the night. I love you so much. I want to do everything I can for you; that's part of the reason I am getting this job. You deserve everything you need and lots of stuff you want. I never had the joy of having very much when I was a child and so I feel it's important that you get first and foremost, a good home life, a good education, lots and lots of love, and of course, to do your job well. Your only job is to grow up and have lots of fun doing it. Daddy and I, and of course Mamaw & Papaw, & Auntie Lynn & Uncle Rodney and all of the kids will do our best to make that happen I know. I am so proud of you. I know that I will miss you terribly but I will still have you A LOT during the day and some at night. And the three of us as a family will have the weekend together. I love you more than life itself. I hope you know that. You are so special to me! Good night, my sweet! Mommy loves Rebecca!

Dear Rebecca,
I hate only getting to post blogs on the weekend but I suppose that's a good thing because it means that I am staying busy with you during the week. We all had a pretty decent week together. I think your Mom is thinking about trying to find another job. We have had to adjust to having $400 less per month than we had when your Mom was working at Kroger. We would be fine if she never went back to work but your Mom wants us to be better than fine so I think she may try to find something. She says that she's not going to settle for any old job though. She wants a job that she can enjoy that will pay her a decent wage. She may be waiting awhile on that job so I don't think that it will be any time real soon that she goes back to work. I told her that she should not get discouraged if she has trouble finding exactly what she wants right away because the perfect job is out there for her but it may not come along until later.
There's been a heart breaking development as a result of the accident you and Mama had on the four wheeler. It seems that the sound of engines now terrify you; any engine at all. Lawn mowers, weed-eaters, motorcycles; they all send you into a clingy little fit of fright. I hate that so much because I know how much you love riding the big lawn mower with Papaw and how much you loved setting on his motorcycle as he revved it up for you. We all hope that you can get over this and regain your sense of joy at hearing the loud engines.
I don't remember what we did Monday. I know that Tuesday we grilled burgers because I had one for lunch at work on Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon after I got home from work we all went to Lexington and your Mom checked out a few possible job openings and then we stopped off at McDonald's for supper. You had a bag of fries, your Mom & I had a double cheeseburger and some fries and we all split a soda. We are trying to cut down on our dining out expenses. We've done a pretty good job of it too.
Thursday Mamaw joined you and your Mom at Gymboree while Aunt Lynn sat in the Gymboree parking lot and made phone calls. Mamaw said it was very cute and sweet but I get the feeling she wasn't exactly blown away by it. After Gymboree Aunt Lynn, Mamaw, Mama and you went to Ryan's for lunch with Granny and her sisters and some of their families. Then Mom bought some marigolds for around the house. I got home Thursday afternoon about the same time that you and Mama did. You were tired from your big day out so you took a short nap while your Mom & I watched an episode of Lost from the TiVo. After you got up I went to the little league fields to watch Jon and Jacob play baseball. Jon moved up a level and Jacob was convinced to play this year. They both play for a team called the Tigers. I noticed that Jon batted second in the order and Jacob batted clean up. It was a fun game to watch. Every one of those little boys stole bases like you would not believe. They played and beat a team called the Cubs. Lynn told me later that the coach of the Cubs was nearly assaulted by the parents of the Cubs players. Little League parents can be so crazy. I thought all that talk about out of control little league parents only happened in other places where the people are not quite as civilized as they are around here. I suppose that maybe we are not quite as civilized around this neck of the woods as I had originally believed.
Friday after I got home we grilled out hot dogs and bratwursts for supper. After supper we took a walk. We headed down Colony Drive towards South Hill where we turned right. As we walked along South Hill Aunt Lynn saw us as she drove by so she stopped and we chatted awhile on the side of the road. We then kept walking down South Hill toward the walking track that runs along Falling Spring Road. We walked along the track all the way to McCowan's Ferry Rd. and then we headed on back. You had a big time. You would run a little ahead of us and then wait on us and then run ahead again. You couldn't get very far ahead of us because we had you in your Elmo harness with a leash. Before you were born and even a little while after that I thought that having a child on one of those leash things was the worst idea in the world. It looked almost cruel but now I realize that if we want to be able to let you have some freedom to walk along and bend down and study buggies and dirt and rocks and such that we had to have a way to keep you from getting away from us and the harness fits the bill to a tee. The walk really wore you out so we didn't have much trouble getting you down for the night on Friday night. Maybe you were a little too tired to go to sleep right away because we heard you a little while later in your room chatting up your stuffed dolls and animals that you must sleep with every night. Yes, you have a certain gang that must join you every night. First and foremost, you must have your stuffed Dora and then you have to have your teddy bear named Bear Bear, Bunny and your moon pillow.
Saturday morning you and Mom woke up early and went to your final class at Gymboree. It was a make up class because you had missed one earlier in the session. It's your last one because it's getting warmer and we thought that you might enjoy playing outside better than going to Gymboree, plus we figured up that Gymboree costs $12.50 for forty-five minutes of play and while you love Gymboree, that seems to be an awfully expensive forty-five minutes. We talk about putting you back in Gymboree in the winter but I don't know if we will or not. Your Mom & I both hate it that we are taking you out of Gymboree because you do love it so much but we both feel like you would prefer to eat more than you would prefer to play with Gymbo the Clown. Your final class was your first one at level five and your Mom said that you appeared kind of tentative around this older, larger and more unruly bunch of children so maybe it's a good thing that you are getting out when you are.
Saturday afternoon after your lunch we all went down to Big Springs Park. You played on the playground and we took a nice little walk around the path. We stayed there for an hour and a half. After that we went to visit Granny. We convinced her to come with us to a Mexican restaurant here in town called Mi Pueblitos. No one else could convince Granny to leave the house today but your Mama was able to do it with your help. Your Mama convinced Granny it would be fun for her to have lunch with you and you did make it fun for Granny. You love Granny very much and she loves you just as deeply. You kept hollering "Hi Gandy". Granny has always been deaf in one ear and as she has aged her hearing has deteriorated in the other; she's the perfect example of the old saying, "deaf in one ear and can't hear out of the other". Anyway, with her being so hard of hearing she didn't even know you were talking to her. She thought that you were talking to me. You also kept saying "Mon Gandy", which means "Come on Granny", when she wasn't moving quick enough on her walker to suit you. I think you and Granny had a fabulous time together. At the restaurant Granny had a taco salad and she ate most of it which tickled me to death because she hasn't had any appetite since her last fall, you had cheese quesadillas and fries and Mama and I had fajitas. After supper we watched Barbaro win the 132nd running of the Kentucky Derby on the television there at the restaurant. We brought Granny back here to our place after supper because she hadn't had a chance to see it yet. She was justifiably impressed with our humble home. When I sat her down in my chair to look at some pictures from the computer using the TiVo she really couldn't concentrate on the pictures of you because she was so entertained by the real deal putting on a show for her in the living room floor. We have that problem a lot as well. We try to look at pictures of you and you are being just so darn cute that we are not able to look at the pictures because we have to look at you. Eventually Granny wanted to go back home so Mama took her back while we stayed behind and went through your bedtime routine which currently consists of a bath, an episode of Little Bear with a blanky and chocolate milk or chokit milk,as you call it, a diaper change, two sippy cups for bed and a night night kiss.
After Mom got back you were sound asleep so your Mom & Dad watched another episode of Lost and one of a show about a rude but brilliant doctor called House. Mom went to bed and I went to Dairy Mart on South Main St. to purchase four cans of Copenhagen because I was plumb out of the nasty stuff. You know it's nasty too. Whenever you see me spitting into one of my spit bottles you twist up your cute little nose and say "Yuck, Nasty" and you are 100% correct. And that has been our week or as much of it as I can recall.
Mama seems to think that you are not quite the Oobi head that you have been in the past. She said that you did ask to watch Oobi the other morning but your new favorite show is now Blue's Clues or Due's Tues as you call it. She said you sat up in my chair and sung the little thinking song that Steve from Blue's Clues sings when he's setting in his thinking chair.
Well, I reckon that's all for tonight. I am glad that you have started telling us that you love us now. It melts my heart when I hear you say that to me and you know what, Daddy loves Rebecca too.

Dear Rebecca,
We had a very good day together today. When we got up this morning, we set about our task of cleaning up the house. You helped me dust, clean both the toilets, clean the glass and sweep the floor. You are a mighty good helper; I am very proud of you for all that you do. Sometimes it takes me extra long to get done with a particular task because you are 'helping' me, but I do not mind that at all. It's fun to have you around, I never know what you might do next.
After we had all our housework done, we went to the store to get some milk, hot dogs, and hot dog buns. Tonight we are all grilling out on the deck. We got home and I fixed you a pizza lunchable for your 'sunch' and you were acting tired so I put you down for a nap. I thought you might go to sleep but I was wrong. I changed a really stinky diaper right before I put you down and gave you some chocolate milk, so I thought sure you would be on your way. I don't suppose you were tired enough. You have gotten off your schedule a bit because of some plans we made this week. Usually you are out like a light by eleven thirty. You will probably fall back into your pattern tomorrow though because you have a make up class at Gymboree. This is, for the summer, by the way, your last class. We are going to sign you back up in the winter. I know you love Gymboree but it's really expensive and in the summer there are parks all over Versailles and Lexington full of children to play and interact with. I am also going to sign you up for the reading program at the library. That will be lots of fun for you because you really love your books. Mommy did a lot of stuff at the library when she was a little girl because Mommy loved books, too, and the library was free. Mommy's parents didn't have a lot of money so we couldn't really ever do things like Gymboree. Anyway, back to today. You didn't nap. You simply laid in your bed and hollered for Momma to 'Mere'. So, I finally did 'mere' and get you. We went outside and dug up the ground between the bushes to plant the rest of the 'Flafu's' we didn't plant in the pot yesterday. You kept playing in the water hose and trying to drink from it, though. Then we picked up our mess from planting the 'flafu's' and you wanted to ride your cycle. So we drug your cycle out of the garage and you did indeed ride it a bit. Then we went and got a popcicle and ate it on the steps of the front porch. You saw some ants and you said "Momma, Buggy!" and I told you that yes, they were buggies, to which you replied, "Mommy, ANTS!" That honestly shocked me; I guess Moose A. Moose taught you all about them on Noggin when they were at his picnic. We went in the back yard and played for a while there but you were getting tired so I brought you in and turned on Blue's Clues. You watched it for a bit while I changed your diaper then I put you down for a nap. That's where you are now, and Daddy is home, and I need to get you up if you are going to sleep at all tonight. I love you, my little helper!

Dear Rebecca,
Hello sweetheart. We have had a wonderful day together so far. This morning you got up around 7:30 and I fixed you a breakfast of an orange and a cup of yogurt. You really never eat much breakfast, but you love oranges so today you ate most of that. I got you dressed for the day and we watched an episode of Blue's Clues while Mommy drank some coffee and ate some cereal. Then I went and made the bed and got dressed while you watched Pinky Dinky Doo. After I was all dressed we got our jackets on and went outside to play, around 8:45. We spent about half an hour in the back yard swinging and sliding and talking to the neighbors dogs. You told the littlest one, Peanut, or as you call her "Pe-Dut", that you loved her. You said "Yowe You PeDUT!" You are so cute and sweet and smart and pretty. After the dogs went inside we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. We took a walk down to Nottingham and back up to the house where we got out your 'Cycle' and you played with it and rode it for a while. Then I got your bouncy ball out of the truck and we had big fun throwing it up against the side of the garage and watching it bounce back to us. We are going to get a basketball goal and mount it above the garage, I am thinking. That will be lots of fun and exercise for all of us, and I know the boys will really love it.
After we did that we decided to go in and get the flower seeds, or 'flafu' seeds that Mamaw gave us and plant them out in the front yard. You picked the spot where the tree used to be and no grass grows, which was handy. You dug up the ground mostly by yourself and we dumped the flower seeds in it. Then you covered it back up and patted it back down with the spade. We saw a whole nest of ticks out there in the ground and you kept wanting to touch the "buggies". I had to tell you that we could not touch those kinds of buggies. After we planted the flowers, you decided you wanted to play with your car toy you got last Easter and so I opened the garage and let you ride on it there in front of the garage up and down the driveway while I swept the garage out a bit. You had a good time doing that until you got bored and climbed up on the porch and started climbing up and down on the bench. You were getting tired and it was a bit cool and we had already been outside for over an hour and a half so I decided it was time to go back in. We went in and called Mamaw to tell her we planted our flower seeds and I put your lunch in the oven. You colored for a while then we decided to watch Blues Clue's while we waited for your lunch to finish. You had a Kid's Cuisine Cheesburger Builder. You like Kid's Cuisines and lucky for me, they are cheap. They run about two dollars a piece and they have an entree, side, corn which you don't eat much of, and a dessert. They're not bad for you and they are easy to fix. You also like lunchables but I try to treat those more as a snack because there usually isn't much in the way of vegetables.
Daddy called while you were finishing your 'sunch' as you call it and he said hi to you while I was getting you all cleaned up. You smiled and cooed but really didn't talk back because my little girl was so sleepy. I cleaned you up and changed your diaper and took down your 'puppy ears' and jumped around with you for a minute before I put you down for your nap. You were more than ready to go because you took your drink and puckered your lips for a night night kiss and told me bye-bye when I laid you in your bed. That's where you are now, resting quietly. You never even hollered and hooped to yourself before you nodded off. Alicia was supposed to bring Braydon and her baby Bryson over here today but she said Braydon is coughing so I don't know if you will have any playmates or not. Either way, the rest of the day promises to be just as fun for the both of us. I love you so much. See you soon!
